Cowboy action shooting is a sport where individuals dress in period correct cloths and use guns of the old west.  Each individual needs two revolvers, one rifle and shotgun.   The revolvers need to be single action revolvers.  The rifles are mostly lever action although there are some period correct slide actions rifles.  Rifle calibers are .32 - .45 and must be in a caliber commonly available in revolvers.  Shotguns are side by sides or pump shotguns typical of the period form 1860 until 1899 in gauges of 10, 12, 16, 20 using shot #4 or smaller.  More specific information and details can be found on the Single Action Shooting Societies (SASS) web site at  http://sassnet.com/

Keep checking back as new info will be posted as it occurs.
